On August 21st, 2026, the popular Youtube channel Good Good golf accidentally detonated a bomb that destroyed the entire world. While in pursuit of promoting their new driver collab with Callaway they decided to put their years of creating golf content at work by making a video advertisement. You can see the now deleted post (viewer descretion advised) here. Hopefully after watching that you’ve now had a few minutes to compose yourself.

The men and women who were outraged by this ad said it promoted violence against women, some even saying that they felt triggered by the ad. Sure you can’t tell someone how they should feel about anything. But obviously no one at Good Good Golf felt that that is what they were trying to do. They just wanted to make a humorous ad that felt like a horror movie. The woman who got shoved to the ground consented to it and believed in what they were trying to communicate, which wasn’t that if some chick touches your driver you’re allowed to respond like Sean Taylor in the 2006 pro bowl. Their biggest crime was just making an awful ad for a driver.

The Fall Out

  • Both Callaway and Good Good issued statements apologizing and taking ownership of the ad
  • Callaway removed all Good Good co-branded drivers and balls from it’s site
  • Golf Galaxy (and parent Dick’s Sporting Goods) pulled Good Good merchandise from websites and reportedly ordered it removed from store shelves
  • Golf Channel postponed the premier of Good Good’s rebooted reality show for the network.

Final Thoughts

The ad was dumb and unfunny and really didn’t promote the driver it was trying to sell, but it wasn’t the end of the world and no one walked away from watching it believing that it is okay to hit women. The reaction to it has been a bit over the top. Good Good will definitely take a hit but will probably be fine and this will all just be a bad dream for them.
