California Comeback: Scheffler Tops Griffin

Scottie Scheffler has done it again.

Not just winning, but winning 6x in one season, again.

And if you happen to have read Saturday’s newsletter, you may recall he was 8 shots behind Ryder Cup teammate Ben Griffin after the first two rounds. He proceeded to play the final two rounds in 13-under par and ended up beating Griffin by one shot.

The only “error” he had, if you could even call it that, was breaking his streak of rounds in the 60’s by shooting a 70 in the opening round.

It reminds me of that Nike campaign from the mid 2000’s about Lebron James, which you might remember, called “We Are All Witnesses”.

That’s exactly what all of us golf fans are with Scottie Scheffler - witnesses to greatness.
