Two Stars Leaving The TOUR for LIV?

Plus: Grant Thornton Picks, Deal Of The Day, and More.

Good Afternoon. While nothing is official yet, a report from Today’s Golfer & Flushing It indicates that Sungjae Im and Si Woo Kim will be leaving the PGA TOUR to join LIV this season.

Flushing It is known for being a LIV Golf insider, but there are several conflicting reports going around in the social sphere today. Nothing concrete has been reported from “major” publications that cover the sport.

On Instagram, Flushing It had this to say “I want to make this very clear. I did not report anything about Sungjae Im, and I’ve only reported Si Woo is in late stage negotiations. Not they they’re expected to join.”

Shanks Picks

We’re just going to throw some darts on this one…

Winner: Lottie Woad + Luke Clanton +1300 Two fast rising young stars in the game of golf, maybe they can catch the field by surprise?

Winner: Jennifer Kupcho + Chris Gotterup +1000 Kupcho has a major championship under her belt and she’s a 3x Solheim Cup star. Gotterup had one of the hottest years on TOUR.

Winner: Nelly Korda + Denny McCarthy +600 We had to mix in at least one of the favorites. These two should be able to putt the lights out.

Golf Trip Highlight: Southern Pines

If Pinehurst is the cradle of American golf, Southern Pines is its soulful little brother - classic, pure, and endlessly fun. Originally designed by Donald Ross in 1906 and lovingly restored by Kyle Franz, Southern Pines Golf Club is a walk through golf history wrapped in sandy soil, pine straw, and charm.

The course blends Ross’s golden-age design with modern playability — wide fairways, rolling greens, and natural contours that make every hole feel like it’s been there forever. It’s less polished than Pinehurst No. 2, and that’s exactly the point — Southern Pines feels alive, a course where you can play fast, laugh loud, and chase that perfect punch shot under the pines.

The surrounding area seals the deal: you’re minutes from Mid Pines, Pine Needles, the entire Pinehurst Resort, and a bunch of other gems, giving you access to some of the most historic and walkable golf in America. The village itself is built for golf trips — cozy inns, local breweries, and classic Carolina barbecue between rounds.

👉 Perfect for: groups looking for authentic Carolina golf — a mix of history, character, and value in one of the most tradition-rich towns in the game.
