Good afternoon. We’re not sure where this originated, but it’s true: The beauty of golf is the more practice you need, the more practice you get.

Matthew Stafford Throws Bryson A Rocket

Apparently, Bryson determined this was worth the risk of breaking a finger before the Masters. After football practice, they attempted to break 50, which you can watch here.

Preview & Picks: Valero Texas Open

There’s a golden ticket to The Masters on the line this week at the Valero Texas Open, and that alone is enough to make this one worth tuning in for.

The top end of the field is solid—27 players are already locked into Augusta, including names like Ludvig Åberg, Daniel Berger, Akshay Bhatia, Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Tony Finau, Matt Fitzpatrick, Max Homa, Jordan Spieth, and Cameron Young, just to name a few.

But the real drama lies with the bubble boys.

As a refresher, the Top 50 in the OWGR at the end of last year got invites, as did anyone who cracks the Top 50 the week before Augusta. Past Masters champs get lifetime exemptions, and winners of other majors from the last five years are in as well.

That leaves guys like Gary Woodland, whose five-year exemption has now expired, and Ben Griffin, currently sitting at 51st, on the outside looking in.

Rickie Fowler, Jake Knapp, Si Woo Kim, and Matt Kuchar?

They’ve got only one path—win and you’re in.

Meanwhile, we’re trying to stay hot after cashing Min Woo Lee at +3500 last week—our second outright winner of the year. Let’s keep it rollin’.

Masters Poll - Which Is Your Favorite?

I came across this tweet from Shane Bacon on Twitter and was curious to poll the Caddyshanks audience with the same question, which can be found at the bottom of this section.

Since The Masters is awesome, you can watch all the final round broadcasts on their youtube channel. This goes all the way back to 1968.

Here are some of the most popular ones mentioned in Shane’s thread, in no particular order:

  • 1975 (Jack Nicklaus)

  • 2004 (Phil Mickelson)

  • 2019 (Tiger)

  • 2005 (Tiger)

  • 1997 (Tiger)

  • 1986 (Jack Nicklaus)

  • 2011 (Charles Swartzel, Rory Meltdown)
