Golf Joke: A little bit further down the email.
Here's what we've got for ya today:
The Americans got off to a great start Friday, sweeping Team Europe in the opening foursome matches.
Team Europe battled back in the afternoon, winning two of the four-ball matches and ending the day down 5-3 to the Americans.
Team Europe needed some big time shots to get there though - including a hole-out from the fairway AND a hole-in-one.
Damn, what a smooth swing that was. USA still won the day though, and the ladies are out there competing as you read this. Flick on Golf Channel for live coverage.
Here are Shanks Picks from Wednesday.
GO USA!
“America’s well-documented road woes in the Ryder Cup are worse than you might realize. It’s not just that the U.S. team has failed to win in Europe since 1993. Rewind the tape back to 1979, when European players were added to the biennial competition, and you can see that only twice has the U.S. triumphed abroad while getting summarily thumped on several other occasions.”
Golf Digest talked to five Team USA captains who were on the losing side of the Ryder Cup. The question was simple… what do we need to do to win?

A grandfather, father and son are ready to tee off when starter assigns them a fourth, a stunningly beautiful woman.
Each of them are quite distracted the entire round, she’s just that hot.
On 18th green she’s got a very long par putt and says, “you guys have been awesome to let me join you, and I’ve played the best round of my life. Whoever can help me sink this final putt to break 90, well, she said smiling, I’ll give you whatever you ask for”.
The young man rushes over and eyes the line and says, “oh you’ll need to hit this one, it’s more uphill than it looks”. The Father takes his turn, stares intently and says, “ I see it moving hard right early, then pretty straight up the hill”.
The Grandfather walks over, takes a quick peek, and says “it’s a gimme”.
You ever see a 3D printed putter? And not like that girl on TikTok that made 3D printed putters and went viral for it (which is super cool btw). Enter The KING 3D, the first and only family to feature a 3D printed multi-material construction.
If you look on the at the putter head, you’ll be able to see that signature 3D printed nylon lattice which optimizes the weight distribution within the putter head to create the highest MOI (moment of inertia) possible for more consistent and predictable rolls.
The 2022 KING 3D printed putters are all $349 so in terms of the style, it’s dealers’ choice. But the 2021 putters are all $199, and they look completely the same or similar.
Check out The KING 3D Printed collection, which includes the Agera (Mallet), Supernova (Wings), and Grandsport (Blade) today.
That’s all folks! See you Monday.
