Super Quick Update: Sanderson Farms

Ben Griffin made 7 birdies yesterday en-route to carding a 63. The wild thing about it, though, was that six of his seven birdie putts were outside of 10 feet.

How many rounds of golf would the average golfer have to play until they organically birdied six putts outside of ten feet?

Griffin finished at 14-under, two shots ahead of Harrison Endycott (65), Luke List (66), Carl Yuan (66) and Henrik Norlander (67).

When we said that the Sanderson Farms Championship was wide open, we meant it, but….

Readers, this is one of our worst cards in history.

Mitchell, Riley, and Hughes failed to make the cut.

Aberg (T-16) outright, Bhattia (T-42) Top Ten, and Jaeger (T-42) Top 5 are still alive, but not looking good.

TGL Grows, Will Be On ESPN

You may have forgotten by now, but there’s another new golf league starting in January. It’s Tiger and Rory’s new project, called TGL, and they just made some new announcements you may be interested in, or not, we have no idea how this league is gonna turn out.

Here are the announcements:

• On Thursday, TGL announced that four new players have jumped on board; Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton, Tom Kim, and Shane Lowry.
• They also announced a multi-year TV right deal with ESPN
• The League is set to begin the day after the college football national championship, January 9th.
• All players confirmed so far; Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Billy Horschel, Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Matt Fitzpatrick, Adam Scott, Tyrrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood, Tom Kim, Shane Lowry.

The first match will be televised on primetime on Tuesday, January 9th. There will be fifteen matches throughout the first season. The matches will be 3 v. 3 and will take about 2hrs.

The real question… will Tiger be healthy enough to participate?
