Valero Texas Open: Bobby Mac Leads By Four
Robert McIntyre followed up his six birdies on Thursday with seven more on Friday.
He threw in a bogey and an eagle for good measure.
All of that added up to -14, and a four stroke lead over Ludvig Aberg (-10), who’s back in contention after stumbling at The Players Championship. Both have a shot at contending at The Masters that week. In fact, Bobby Mac added the Valero to his schedule for that very reason.
Who’s Chasing?
Tony Finau, who needs a win to qualify for The Masters (where hee’s played every year since 2017) is at 9-under.
He’s part of a pack that also includes Bud Cauley, Thorbjron Olesen, and Kevin Roy.
Tommy Fleetwood is hanging around at 7-under.

Due to inclement weather, starting times for the third round will consist of threesomes off split tees from 8:10-10:10 a.m. CT. Saturday broadcast times have been adjusted to start earlier.
Saturday: 11-3:30 p.m., GOLF Channel; 3:30-6 p.m., NBC, Peacock (live until play concludes, then taped coverage until 6 p.m.)
Sunday: 1-2:30 p.m., GOLF Channel; 2:30-6 p.m., NBC, Peacock
