Quick Update: Pebble Beach Pro-Am
So far, the action at Pebble Beach has been exciting, and with the forecast calling for 30 mph winds over the weekend, things could get even wilder.
We’ve already seen two holes-in-one from the two most famous Irishmen on tour—Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry. Then, Scottie Scheffler gave us a moment to remember when he played his second shot off the beach on 18.
However, it’s the big man from Austria, Sepp Straka (-14), who sits alone atop the leaderboard after two rounds. Straka notched his third career win just a few weeks ago at the Amex, and he’s quickly becoming the hottest player in the early part of the season.
Right behind him on the leaderboard are Russell Henley and Cam Davis (-11), while Tony Finau, Tom Kim, and Justin Rose are in the mix at 10-under. Viktor Hovland—who joked earlier this week that he "sucks at golf"—sits at 9-under.
With the elements coming into play this weekend, we could be in for a chaotic finish.
